In a very cathartic way—sidenote: no spellcheck, no grammer check…
I just emptied my two suitcases.
Two suitcases, which I packed in early june with plans to travel across America, doing this thing called “Air Guitar”.
I had a great time along the way, and ended up in L.A. on friends couch. A week later, he told me to get going.
A little over three months later chilling on the fold out bed of a very accomidating friend, I found an apartment in Hollywood.
I paid security, I paid first months rent, and I am here, on the borrowed wireless internet, posting this…
Tonight I went to a long form improv show at the theatre I hope to be peforming at, the UCB theatre.
My apartment, JUST HAPPENS to be 400 ft from the theatre.
So, my dreams…
I had a dream to come to California to train to be funnier. So far, I’ve taken a level 1 class at UCB and had a heck of a good time. I met some really cool people, and when I talked to them outside of class in person and not just via an elongated diatribe via the internet (similar to this one), I really felt I connected to some cool people.
BUT BACK TO ME, this is my blog, dagnabbit.
Today, I placed two empty suitcases into my paid for spacious closet space of my studio apartment in Hollywood, CA.
I feel like such a budding comedian.
